What is the difference between AI, machine learning and deep learning?
AI is the broad goal, machine learning is one way to achieve it, and deep learning is a type of machine learning.
AI is the broad field of making machines act intelligently. Machine learning is a method within AI where computers learn from data. Deep learning is a type of machine learning that uses large neural networks.

Artificial intelligence
The umbrella term. It includes anything from simple rule-based systems to advanced chatbots.
Machine learning
Instead of being programmed with rules, the system finds patterns in examples, such as spam filters learning from labelled emails.
Deep learning
Uses many-layered neural networks and is behind speech recognition, image recognition and modern language models. It usually needs a lot of data and computing power.
