How do I care for succulents?

Give them bright light, gritty soil and water only when completely dry.
Succulents store water in their leaves, so they prefer to be underwatered rather than overwatered. They need bright light and fast-draining soil.
Use a pot with drainage holes.
Light
Place them near a bright window. If they stretch and become leggy, they need more light.
Water
Water thoroughly, then wait until the soil is completely dry before watering again. Water less in winter.
Soil and feeding
Use cactus or succulent mix, or add grit or perlite to regular mix. Feed lightly during the growing season.
