Lesson 1
Mapping the Pattern
Track your emotional state over one month to see the true reality.
Log your reality
When emotions are high, it is easy to focus on one bad week. To get an accurate picture, start a private 'relationship log.' For 30 days, record one sentence each night about how you felt and why. Be honest: did you feel drained, excited, disrespected, or supported?
Look for the trend
At the end of the month, review your entries. Do you notice a recurring theme? If the majority of days are marked by anxiety, resentment, or feeling small, you are dealing with a structural issue, not a situational one. Count the incidents of contempt—eye-rolling, sarcasm, or mockery. If these occur more than twice a week, the relationship is in a critical state. Do not ignore these data points. A sustained pattern of negativity is a clear indicator that the current dynamic is not sustainable for your long-term happiness or health.
