Lesson 1

Defining Your High-Value Service Offering

Determine exactly what you will sell based on your current professional strengths.

Audit Your Skills List everything you do at work or as a hobby. Filter these by what businesses are willing to pay for: copywriting, graphic design, social media scheduling, or data entry. ## The Problem-Solving Pivot Stop selling 'a service' and start selling 'a result'. Instead of 'I do social media', offer 'I increase local bakery traffic by 20%'. Clients pay for outcomes. ## Set Your Rates Even if you have no experience, do not charge pennies. Research competitor rates on Upwork and start at the lower-mid range. You can always raise prices once you have three successful testimonials. ## The Minimum Viable Service Define a package you can deliver in under five hours. This reduces the risk for your first client and makes it easier for them to say 'yes' to your proposal.
