Lesson 1

Matching Hustle to Skillset

Identify which service model fits your availability and technical capability.

The Three Categories

Successful side hustles fall into three buckets: Digital Services (Writing, Design), Local Services (Pet Sitting, Cleaning), and Asset Monetisation (Storage, Equipment Rental). Identify where you have the least friction.

Calculating Your Time

If you have 5 hours a week, do not choose a hustle that requires constant real-time interaction. Choose asynchronous tasks like content writing or data entry. If you have full weekend availability, local services often pay more because you can complete multiple jobs in one day.

Avoiding Over-Complexity

Common mistakes include building a complex website before doing the work. Start by offering your service to five people in your personal network. Use their feedback to refine your offering before you spend money on professional branding or expensive software subscriptions. Your first priority is proving someone will pay for your time.
