Lesson 1
Professional Captures on Windows
Utilise Windows key shortcuts for precise image capture.
Advanced capture tools
Forget simple full-screen prints. Pressing Windows + Shift + S opens the Snip & Sketch tool. This allows you to drag your mouse to capture only the relevant part of the screen. ## Managing your files Once you capture, the image is copied to your clipboard. You can paste this directly into documents or emails using Ctrl + V. If you need to save it as a file, click the notification that pops up in the bottom right corner to save it as a PNG or JPG. Mistake to avoid: do not rely solely on the 'Print Screen' key, which captures your entire desktop, including messy taskbars. Use the selection tool to focus on the content that matters. Practice this on three different applications today to get a feel for how the cursor changes during the selection process.
