Lesson 1
Mapping Your Triggers
Identify the specific scenarios and thoughts that trigger your jealousy to understand the underlying insecurity.
Identify the pattern
Keep a log for one week. When you feel a pang of jealousy, note the time, the event, and the physical sensation.
Separate fact from story
When you feel triggered, write down the objective fact: 'My partner is talking to a friend.' Then, write down your internal story: 'They like them more than me.' Seeing these side-by-side helps you recognize the gap between reality and assumption.
Trace the origin
Ask yourself: does this feeling stem from a previous experience or a current situation? Recognizing that you are projecting past hurts onto a present, safe relationship is the first step toward stopping the loop. This awareness allows you to pause before you act, turning a potential argument into a moment of internal reflection.
